A Gala Day has been held in Carmunnock since the 1950’s. Our Gala Week is organised and run by volunteers from local community groups.  It is run as a fund raising event and any profits made are returned to the local organisations making it a truly community event.
  

2010 was another great year, we moved our Crowning Ceremony to the King George V Playing Field, which proved to be a great success.  Our new attractions and our Champagne Tent were also very popular additions to the day.

 

We wish to thank the members of the gala committee, local residents and suppliers for all their hard work, without whom we would not be able to stage our Gala Week.  If you have some time or skills, which you could lend to this worthwhile community event, we would love to hear from you:-info@carmunnockgala.co.uk and you could help us to create an even more amazing Gala Week in 2011.
